Final LEGO session

Monday, May 30th, 2011

 Today was our last LEGO session before our presentation evening in the Radisson hotel on June 9th.  We have designed and made our inventions, and designed and made our "Show Me" posters.  Today we finished off all we could.  We are looking forward to seeing other schools at the presentation evening.  We think it will be a fun evening for all.

Robotics in Second Class

Our school has been extremely lucky to have been chosen as one of the first ever schools in Ireland and the UK to have been introduced to the Lego WeDo robotics.We will be making lego structures and then programming them on the computer to perform different functions.We had our first lesson today with our kits. We could programme a motor to work.It was a lot of fun.We worked well in our teams.

More inventing and engineering

• a moving pathway (or stairs) that will help doctors get to their patients more quickly
• an automatic wheelchair
• an automatic trolley
